Our kids deserve to grow up together In Real Life instead of on screens.
It only takes 25-30% of a community to shift a cultural norm. This pledge is intended to do just that by demonstrating that families across our town are creating a new “everyone else is doing it” narrative.
One way to make it easier to hold out is by choosing a kid-safe phone which avoids the danger and distractions of smartphones. You can absolutely give your child a basic phone and still honor the spirit of this pledge.

By taking this pledge, I join a group of parents who will delay traditional smartphones and/or give my child a phone or watch that has just texting/calling/location without social media and internet access. I can renew this pledge each year and pledge counts are shared anonymously.
