Our kids deserve to grow up together In Real Life instead of on screens.

It only takes 25-30% of a community to shift a cultural norm. This pledge is intended to do just that by demonstrating that families across our town are creating a new “everyone else is doing it” narrative.
One way to make it easier to hold out is by choosing a kid-safe phone which avoids the danger and distractions of smartphones. You can absolutely give your child a basic phone and still honor the spirit of this pledge.

Sign the Pledge
By taking this pledge, I join a group of parents who will not give their kids a smartphone or social media apps for the 2025-2026 school year. I can recommit to this pledge each year and alternative kid-safe devices are ok. (Note: No personal data is shared publicly on the site. Rather, you will receive quarterly emails listing other children in your child’s grade. )
